The Subedited version. No problem with most of it BUT: PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE reinstate the footnote regarding Penge - I *know* it's in the first person, but it's a reference to a Rankin running gag, a gag so pervasive it crosses several books.
Characters in several of the books frequently mention Penge, and *every* time they do they observe that "I've heard it's a very nice place, although I've never been there myself". The footnote is therefore not merely in keeping with an entry on Rankin - anyone who has read Rankin's books will, on seeing "Penge" in that list, EXPECT a footnote worded precisely as I had it in the original.
Please put it back. Please.
Oh go on.
H.

First of all, thanks for putting the footnote back!
Now, another quick nitpick - in the Edited version of A749441, there's the following sentence fragment:
"Belvedere in which a the upper storey"
Could someone delete the "a", please? Thanks!
H.
