h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

OK, I'm on pre-mod. Couldn't care less frankly as I am about 95% out of here but I WILL say this about you lot. On the 'puts on serious chat' thread which you posted on yesterday (rather one sidedly I might add) there is some serious distention from parties today. I suggest you read what Reefgirl and Mrs Bojangles have to say because in my opinion it is valid. This has nothing to do with my problems with the man in question, if you bother to look you will see hatchets buried, but you in general. You are now losing authority and respect amongst good people on this website and I suggest that you pull your fingers out and DO WHAT IS EXPECTED OF YOU. Also, do what is right. The majority has spoken. End of story.
If you are too blind/stupid/naive not to push the button then it will only lead to people leaving in droves and your authority being mocked, which it already is.
We are all humans here and I imagine you would much rather have an easy life than be responding to idiots like me and moderating, you would have a much better time of it if you did what is asked of you.
For gods sake sort it out.

We're awfully sorry to hear that you're less than impresed by the way we run h2g2. Might we ask you what you imagine our job actually is? It'd be interesting to get the point of view of someone who uses h2g2 like a chat site and has never contributed to the Edited Guide.

Anyway, how long am I going to be on Pre Mod? Not bothered either way but others are asking and I'd like to be able to let them know.

*Ah to Hell with it I'll rise to it*. Y'know, this site is more than being the sum of its parts, if I choose not to contribute to the Guide then surely that is my perogative and nobodys business but my own. Also, I have actually considered writing stuff before for this but people have got there before me. Just so you know.
