I've seen you around on the guide loads, but never seemed to talk much - so I thought I'd drop by and say hi!

Well howdy, and thanks for dropping by. I also have seen your name around the forums. Nice to make your aquaintance.

Fighting a bloody snowstorm, as well as a cold. What part of the world do you hail form?? I live in Utah.

I've lived all my life on the Isle of Wight, UK, and I'm now in Southampton Uni, UK - about 10 miles north of the Island.
And I've got a cold too - annoying, isn't it

Yup, I hate being sick at work. And I feel like an idiot. I just visited your homepage and saw the Isle of Wight map. So what do you do to fill the gaps of your life that are not on h2h2?? I do tech support for a bank.

Well, I'm a uni student, studying Law for some reason. It's quite good as I get unlimited computer access for free - LOTS of H2G2ing - except the workload tries to interfere.

I get all the acces I can use at work. But it spoils me for when I go home and have to use a *very* slow modem. Give me bandwidth or give me a flamethrower.

I know the feeling... My computers are an Amstrad PC-1512 and an Amstrad Mega PC 386SX. Not much by modern standards at all.

I have a pretty hot unit at home, but the modem is only a 56k that I get about 49k when I connect. I use a t1 at work.

I see... Well, as long as we all can use H2G2 and meet up and say hi, at the end of the day, we're happy!

Sounds good to me. But you can easily get spoiled by high speed connections.

Quite a few actually. I read far too much, I play with cars, I collect StarWars cards, I play a lot of computer games. During the winter that about covers it. When it gets warm I like to hike and ride my mountain bike.

Good hobbies all. Apart from the car-playing, and the "cards" bit after "Star Wars", I've done bits of all of them

I am a tournnament director for the SW card game. So i play it a lot. I do not reccomend it as a hobby for the cash strapped. I can hardley wait to see it warm here though. I miss riding on the slickrock in Moab.
