I wonder that the town of Offenbach doesn't do anything. Surely they must be aware of what's going on.

I would think that it would have ramifications for the town if they had such a lousy medical center! No new businesses would want to move there for instance --that lowers the tax base.

The town and its suburbs have a bad reputation anyway. A friend of mine lived there many years before I moved to Frankfurt, so I hadn't heard anything about Offenbach yet. I went to visit her, and the very first impression I had of Offenbach, was how dirty it was!

How are you today? Good work getting out on time. Did you read D's new entry yet? I hope you enjoy it! Parts of it made me

I started reading it this morning but had to get ready for work before I could finish it. I'm currently too tired, which means I can't concentrate enough, so I'll read it when I'm more alert.
I'm sure it's a good one, as always.

Hey, I really enjoyed your story! I wish the guys in your life appreciated what a talented mum/wife they had. Also is your husband's medical condition resolved itself? I hope you are all doing ok.

Thank you, elektra.
If only one person enjoys what I write, then it's already worth having written it.
My sons love me, they really do. And they appreciate me. They're just not keen on reading English texts.
My husband had the appointment with the urologist today. The ultra sound scan didn't show anything, so he'll have to go to another doctor for an x-ray next week, then back to the urologist the week after. They're checking his blood, and checked his urine. He'll have to take the results to the x-ray specialist.
He's feeling fine, though, so maybe the stone has gone for good.

Gosh I hope so. Wouldn't want to wish that pain on anyone!
It's a shame your sons are not interested in English. Everything has gone so global it would be to their advantage.
That argument would just encourage their indifference though, no doubt.

They're just not talented at learning foreign languages, so I'm glad my youngest got relatively good marks in his final exams. My eldest has started reading books in English now that he doesn't have to do it at school any more. I'm quite happy about that and have given him lots of stuff to read. (F19585?thread=6142631)
He has even read some entries here on hootoo on occasions. He doesn't live with us any more, though.

Same here - it's only just turned to drizzling form very heavy rain.
Is it too cold for the pool then? I mean, you're going to get wet anyway when you're swimming, so if it's warm enough, does the rain matter all that much?

You got it in one.
I have indeed been told that I have beautiful blue eyes. I still find it hard to believe, but I won't object.

Hey Bel, you did a great job on as always. We appreciate your efforts there. Thanks for being so reliable. A pity more volunteers don't follow your example, HooTWo would be much improved!

Thank you, elektra.
Unlike last year, when I did a couple of issues alone due to lil having been rushed to hospital (and the other team members joined later), I had lots of help this time around. There are quite a few very active volunteers here, or else the site wouldn't work.

Congratulations on the graduation of your son! Hope you all have a good time at the ceremony!Loved your story on childhood memories the title was terrific, conjuring up pictures of fields of flowers. That was neatly punctured by the memory itself.

According to my son not a lot is going to happen in way of ceremony. We'll see. I'll have my hair dyed anyway.
Funny that the words childhood memories evoke innocent, nice pictures, when we all *know* that there are not-so-good or even terrible ones, too.
I'm really glad you like it.

What are your plans for today? I noticed that our Helen enjoyed your poem. I was rather suprised that you hadn't read it aloud, as D is the poet in this household and he does that. Have a great day!

I've just woken form a much needed nap (I had a terrible night )
Must write my article for the Post still, I had intended to have it by now, but I was too tired. And I get easily distracted.
Funny that, about reading poems aloud. It's just never occurred to me before. I 'read' them in my head. I can 'hear' them there. Maybe it's because I'm not a native speaker?
