How, dear journal, does one cope with a collaegue that is wrecking a department and who runs to a manager over the office managers head when ever she feels agrieved? There is no real dispute, I can't see one any way. The office manager has played it by the book and been VERY patient in the face of incompitence and yet my colleague is yelling victimisation!! What can be done. She has been retrained from scratch, at cost to the tax payer and extra work for us left in the office, and still her work is jibberish. Advice is taken as a disciplinary action, she runs off in tears and comes back hours later smug as can be because the upper managers tell her "there, there". If the person can't do the job and her manager sees it and her colleagues see it why can't them up there act
