Er, no... It stays a mufflewhump until it changes into whatever it is that you most want, after which it is that thing. If you don't want anything, it stays a mufflewhump until you do want something. I think. I'd have to ask Pod. But since I never did get around to asking him if they can turn into living things when so many people's mufflewhumps were turning into pets, I probably won't get around to asking him this, either.
