You wrote in your intro:
"I watch television when I could doing something constructive - when I could be making a difference."
Why don't you make a difference when you know you can?
I'm *not* trying to have a go at you or anything mean, I'm just immensly curious

Hmmm. Laziness, I suppose... or maybe it's just something I'm used to doing.
I think that for many people, and I'm no exception, their day-to-day problems seem big enough to worry about, without worrying about actually achieving something...
Does that answer your question?
I entirely understand (and appreciate ) your curiousity... might prompt *me* to actually think about it, for once.

Thanks for your answer. I was partly curious because I've felt that way myself, over and over, and I wanted someone else who admitted to it's take on the subject. I think that I try to make more of an effort now, but not the whole time
I'm pleased to think that you may consider it more as a result of my nosey questioning.

Yup, I think that accepting one's flaws is the first step to doing something about them. I haven't quite got around to finding out what the second step is, though .

I know, thats always the hard part. I have several of my problems figured out, but how do I make myself work harder, or do whatever to become a better person. I guess its just something that needs hard work and perseverance, not things that I have in overabundant supply!
