'Allo
I'll be turning eighteen next week and starting my second year a few weeks after that
Staring at what?

Spot the one who doesn't proofread her posts
Did you skip a year somewhere then or are you from the scottish system?

Yep, two years ... high school... the UK, though, not America.
I don't think I missed anything important

Actually, leaving people behind was one of the big bonuses... I was in a very rowdy form, I didn't get on well with a lot of them, and I had a pretty lousy year all round... when I was able to escape the next year I was very pleased, and made lots of new friends...
There were a few people I wish I hadn't left behind, but on the whole, it was a very good deal...

Do you have troubles now, I know people who were very late in their years and weren't 18 on results day which meant they weren't even allowed into the bars with their friends to celebrate. :-9

Well... I spent a whole year at uni without drinking any alcohol at all...
But that was because I didn't want to - nobody would've objected if I was with a group of students.
I don't like being drunk, mostly 'cause it stops my brain working properly
In fact I spent most of my spare time... of which there wasn't all that much, they really keep us working at Cambridge... talking to Pearl. Lots of fun

But one has to ask where the joy is in getting to a stage when you do things you know you are going to regret, say things you don't mean and basically make a fool of yourself?
For me, I know my limit, I'll drink but not enough to be classed as intoxicated!

Well, it's probably not a problem for most people, but I find programing noticably trickier after any alcohol at all... definitely a reason to avoid it
