On Friday I met up with a friend!

So, the notorious Spaceboy is actually a lovely person that I enjoyed hanging out with a lot. I can assure you that if he's a psycho, he can fake being sane for as long as it takes to have some drinks. He was, however, held hostage by his other Chicago friend and so missed out on burritos as big as his head.
What can you do?
Big old dinner party Saturday night that was a lot of fun. Cleaned my whole apartment yesterday including the floors and did all my laundry. I walked around in a sort of hung-over daze this weekend, when I wasn't out drinking.
I spoke to Andy quite a bit. Things right now are just fine. He's making noises like San Francisco is sounding good to him, but who knows? Next week it might be somewhere else. I'm basically just living my life and when he needs to be a permanant part of it, he'll let me know. Meanwhile, Todd and I are having a blast. He's one of those people that the more I hang out with him the more I like him and we're practically living together. It's so cool that all my other friends that I introduced him to like him.
Life was pretty good this weekend.

You know who ELSE is actually a lovely person? The notorious beeline and his fantastically cool sweetie. So lovely, in fact, you might even go so far as to call them TWO lovely persons, one at a time. And another lovely person is Ant's family. Hooray for good weekends.

I also think that beeline and his sweetie are two lovely persons. I've never met Ant's family, but I'm sure that they were just completely taken in and enchanted by his darling little American girl. Hooray!

I'm lovely? *blush*
Sorry I was dragged off... I really did want a burrito as big as my head... but alas, I was staying with amanda and felt like I should go where she wanted...
It was fantastic to finally meet you though... My cheeks hurt for hours from laughing (a definite good sign)...
If you're ever in new york....

You know I will be. Now that I have somewhere to crash and someone who is going to make absolutely sure I don't miss The Simpsons. I'm sorry I didn't call you back on Saturday, but Lisa had that dinner at around 5pm and I didn't get home until close to 3am. Sunday was spent recovering. Ugh.
I completely understand about Amanda. You'll just have to come back to Chicago to get a burrito, that's all.
How was the game? Did Big Tony have a good time?

Well, we did end up getting burritos, but it was at Texas Star Fajita Bar... (and were not as big as our heads)... The rest of the night is a blur... you would have liked it
The game was wonderful... Wrigley is amazing... (I wrote about my little adventure in my journal) Yes, and Big Tony had a blast...

Well good, at least you got to have a burrito of some kind. I love Wrigley so much. Bricks and Ivy baby! Did Sammy hit one out?

I must say... I'm a bit concerned about Spaceboy's trek to Chicago. I heard he was all about trying to spit his gum from the top of the Sears Tower, reinacting the entire Blues Brothers movie in the Cook County Building, and somehow fooling someone out of their seat at the Cubs game just so he could sit next to Big Tony.
I believe he left the Sears Tower... gum still in mouth.

That's because his friend here, who was a lovely girl, took him to the wrong place. The best building in Chicago is the John Handcock Building. It's not as tall, but there is an outdoor section at the top and the most amazing bar and restaurant with a full panaramic view of the city.
That's my opinion anyway. My friends and I love to meet up at the top of the Handcock and have drinks and look at the view and pretend we're rich and important.

SURELY "someone" mentioned going to the John Handcock Building over the course of the weekend... most likely on Saturday before the tour was even started... That's my guess.
