Well, at least you don't need to worry about the weather in Chicago for much longer. We're in the midst of the warmest December since records began (or at least for a very long time) over here, so you'll soon be basking in our tropical sunshine. 
Of coursr it's all very well and good it being warm over Europe at the moment, however if things don't change soon it may scupper my ski... er, yodelling, holdiay in Zermatt.
