I just warmed up some pizza, and the whole top of it is crispy-fried from the microwave and the whole underneath is freezing cold, and I can't figure out any way to get around that, aside from microwaving the pizza upside down.

Hmmmm....do you have a conventional oven? Cause if you turn it on really high, and stick the pizza on the lowest rack, you might be able to toast up the bottom before the top gets too hot.

I want to go home and I can't. How unfair is THAT?

That, indeed, is very unfair. I was about to suggest that I call your boss and explain to him that you're KRISSY and that you should be able to go home anytime you damn well please. Because you're Krissy. Did I say that already? Okay, 'cause it's true.

But if that doesn't do any good, I suggest that you cry as loud as possible. Make a scene. I'm talking big, weepy, shuddery cry. The kind that shakes everything around you for a good two-foot radius. They'll be sure to send you home then, 'cause eveyone else will be crying too, and that lowers productivity. It does.

But if THAT doesn't work, then I suggest that you talk to me all damned day, and then when you leave work you go do Krissy things. My favorite things to do when I feel like that involve traipsing around town aimlessly and finding a nice quiet coffee/tea house type place where I can just sit and read really good books to my heart's content, but your tastes may vary. And you can always call me later, 'cause you're MY Krissy and I can't go having you all sad an' stuff.

It's good to have options.

One of the best things about the Onion are the pictures they find. They're so right on. I mean, out of everybody in the world, if any guy looked like was going to get killed for knowing too much about the X-files..it would be THAT guy.
