Krissy!
What's new? What's different? What's going on?
Me? Well, now that you ask...
Busy, busy, busy.
But in amongst all that business, I've been having loads of fun with the family. (See journal for details if you're interested)

Hi there!
Sorry about how long it took to get back. Lessee...I got married, HOORAY! We moved into a new apartment. I'm looking at going back to college and getting my Masters and then PhD, but I can't decide for the life of me in what yet. Andy is in London for a month to see his family and attend two weddings. I miss him but I'm doing okay.
Your family adventures sound pretty exciting!
How's your job?

The job is enough to drive Job crazy. But it pays 95 percent of our bills so that's a good thing.
I'm enrolling in grad school in the fall too to pursue my master's of journalism degree - not that it'll do me any good.
Would you believe in seven years, I've only stayed away from home once without at least my wife or one of the girls with me.

Well, if Andy's family lived in this country I doubt he would have gone without me. It's so lonely for both of us, but he promised to be best man in Duncan's wedding long before Andy and I got engaged. Andy's an honorable guy and wouldn't ditch a friend.
Also, it has got to be okay for him to go home and see his family and his home country. Just like it would have to be okay for me to do it if I lived in London.
I still feel married, which is good. I was afraid that he would go back to London and I would feel like I used to before when were were doing the international relationship thing. I don't though...neither does he. He's having a good time and missing me and I'm haveing a good time hanging out with friends at home and I'm missing him.
We're dealing.

*hugs CD back* Thank you sweetie! I needed that.
The job evaluation is still hidden from me. I find out this Friday what kind of raise, if any, I'm getting. I really hope it's a crappy raise as I have to quit this job and get one at a university if I want to go back to school, and one way or another it's going to be a pretty severe pay cut.
It's going to be harder to change jobs if I get a huge honkin' raise.

Ah.
Good luck with that then - hope you get what you're looking for.
That's one of the biggest reasons I got a job in the public sector - free education.

Thanks! I really hope I get what I'm looking for as well. I'm supposed to be looking into the possibilites for my future, but to be honest, with Andy out of town I've been really just kind of down and snarky.
There's so much I'm supposed to be looking into and doing and I don't feel like doing any of it.
Difficulty analysis: I lack motivation to go through more changes just yet. This past year was a trial by fire, as it were, and I'm still smoking tired.
How are your girls?

Beautiful as ever.
They're very tan and I feel sort of guilty about it with all the worries about skin cancer and ozone holes and stuff.
But I've a rather dark complexion and my beautiful bride is half Peurto Rican so even with SPF 30+ the girls get really dark when they play outside.
We've had a whole series of adventures this summer with trips to baseball games, the National Aquarium in Baltimore, museums, train rides to nowhere, and we're going to the beach next month and to the mountains in October when the leaves change.
Plus we've been reading like fiends and both girls have written several short stories over the summer. The baby's stories are hysterical - scribble drawings that she attatches *interesting* meanings to...
Key: Complain about this post
