*sighs into the snuggle*
That feels good. The Mr. part of my Mrs. left for a month in London today. I was doing really well until it's getting toward nightime and bedtime and I'm all alone for a whole month.
Stupid month.
*hates it*
*loves on bubs for some much-needed attention*
You're a great bubster, you know.

The Great bubster...
F Scott Fitzgerald eat your heart out.
Oh, except, ewwwww.
And, uh, meanwhile, HI!
*drags in a suitcase full-O-stuff*
I'm here for the month... (except for the trip to Sydney starting tomorrow)

Classic Krissy Posted Jul 18, 2001
Well, I'm certainly looking forward to you being around for the month with your suitcase full-o-stuff except for the Sydney trip which starts tomorrow!
*rummages around in bubster's suitcase to see some stuff*
It makes me think of the A.A. Milne poem "Johnathan Joe"
~Johnathan Joe has a mouth like an "o"
~and a wheelbarrow full of surprises
~If you want a hat or something like that
~he's got it whatever the size is

It's this far *indicates helpfully*
I am back now. *plonks self on couch and refuses to budge except for food and alkeyhol and their necessary conqequences (which is much more fun to say than, say, 'consequences')*
Hey! Has someone been rummaging...?

*plonks on the couch next to bubs with some Oreos and beers*
So you saw Hugh Jackman eh?
You want to hear something CRAZY?!?! My stepmother went out and got Andy and I two tickets to a hollywood movie premire! She and my dad are flying us to LA and putting us up in a hotel for the night and we're going to do the whole "red carpet" thing.
*be's excited that she gets to pretend to be a movie star*
We don't know what movie it is yet, or when it is, just sometime in the fall.
Did you have FUN on your trip?
*lumbers in*
bubster Posted Jul 25, 2001
I had THIS MUCH fun *indicates helpfully*!
I've always imagined you schmoozing on the red carpet - can't think why... I'll look out for you in my Hollywood Insider-type glossies.

Also... *yoinks an Oreo and chases it with some beer*
Mmm alkeyhol-y.

Classic Krissy Posted Jul 25, 2001
And oreo-y
*yoinks bubster's fun and runs for the...*
You and that indicator finger of yours. It's going to get you into trouble one of these days. Indeed.
So, I'm missing my hubby and as good as I want to be about all this it still kind of sucks big smelly things. *indicates helpfully*
My friend Kirsten and I went out last night to Grant Park in downtown Chicago and saw "A Streetcar Named Desire" on the massive-drive-in-movie-type screen out in the park. It was wonderful!
I'll tell you what, you've never heard so many wolf whistles in your life as when Marlon Brando first appeared on the screen. I think half the female audience started whooping and whisting. hee hee
*be's guilty*
I'm not getting fired at work, or even hating it too much...so that's good.
How are the puppyrats?
*lumbers in*
bubster Posted Jul 27, 2001
The puppyrats are yet to grasp the concept of 'shelter'. They have this stand-in-the-rain-looking-miserable thing happening, despite the availability of a kennel and various covered areas.
I wouldn't mind if it meant they stayed clean, but they also have this rolling-in-the-mud-will-probably-help thing too. Not to mention digging-for-fun-and-profit.
I was feeling sick yesterday but now I am not. Plus my boy gets back from his month-long work exile to Sydney tonight, so that's gotta be good.

I have to say that it's really cool to see on my page *lumbers in* 12 hours ago. It makes sense.
I'm so glad your Robby gets back and that you can snuggle him. You went through a month hiaatus to!! *be's amazed*
I get all snarky with Andy for being gone and then he calls and he's so happy to be helping out with the wedding and so proud to be best man and so wishing I was there that he makes me laugh and smile and I can't be snarky anymore. Just glad that he's happy.
I think I need to go to Australia and visit. I think I think. My best friend Kirsten is just bleeding wanting to go and I think I need to go too. *imagines it* *wishes she had money*
Do the puppyrats not sleep indoors anymore? When the thunder starts...bring 'em inside... that's my take on it.
P.S. - I think someone will be stealing our summer soon. I suspect it might be you.
*lumbers in*
bubster Posted Jul 29, 2001
I didn't have to go through a whole month 'cos Sydney is only that far away *indicates helpfully* so he came home in the middle and I went up there a week or so ago and ate ice cream so we still saw each other and stuff.
Meanwhile, the puppies sleep in the indoors (mostly) but they do the being-outside thing in the days when no-one's home. That's when they soak themselves...
I've just looked outside and there is absolutely no indication that your summer is lurking around ready to leap out at us, but should I see it I shall certainly yoink it and velocitate hillwards.
As young bee would have it.
