I'm no longer a practising biologist but have written a nice long lump of crap up on the forum anyway.
I'll have to word-count it - I'm quite impressed at how much I can remember, despite the marks I got in my exams. Still, it would never have worked as an essay as it's not concise, quotey-from-literature or stick-to-a-single-discipline enough.
I'll print out the forum and take it round to the bearded bloke who sometimes hangs around outside the library, challenging rich arts students to a conversation to the death about why Jesus DOES love you, despite not existing. He's mentioned the soul a few times. I think it was Boyle that mentioned something to do with "the souls of men and angels" as being the only bodies of true intelligence in the world. He was mainly a chemist but should have left that sort of thing to the philosophers, as Huxley recommended. The only thing for certain is that it's time for my tea.
Cheers, later, Wingpig.
