I have, and bookmarked it for future reference... smiley - winkeye

What did you think of the Clent Hills? I think I've only been up them once...

Ever been to the Lickeys?

Ahhh! I love the Clent Hills. I lived in Halesowen for many years (my parents are still there) and I've often walked along Illye and Frankley footpaths, through woods and past old churches on the way up to Clent. There's a pub called the vine that I like to walk to (about an hour from my parents), have a couple of drinks, and then wander back again, a bit merry! I love it.smiley - smiley

I think I've played golf on the Lickey Hills. What's the golf course there?

I remember you telling me you lived in Halesowen at the January meet... smiley - doh
I didn't know there was a golf course up there... I've seen golf courses at the top of other hills, but not the Lickeys! I used to live in Sandstone Avenue, at the bottom of the Lickeys until I was 2. Since then I've only been over there a few times... probably explains my lack of knowledge!

I think Warley Woods might be near the Lickey Hills - maybe it was Warley Woods golf course... I can't quite remember either smiley - erm

smiley - erm Could be... A little research has shown the existence of a Lickey Hills Golf Club smiley - erm

The one I've seen (and walked past) on top of a hill is at Bradnor Hill, in the Welsh Border area. Offa's Dyke runs round it, and the golf course seem to occupy most of the (flatish) top of the hill - it was featured on 'Holiday' the other week!

The times I've been over there have been with band trips - the Borough Winds bands do an annual weekend away at Dunfield House, which is at the bottom of the hill. Great fun is always had by everyone - the last couple of years I've managed to wangle a place on the trip, helping as staff! smiley - laugh
