Two Years
Posted Jul 6, 2007
Didn't get a chance to log on in the morning, but it was in the morning, two years ago, that I got the 'I love you too' email from Dan, and therefore that is what I count as an anniversary.
Though I guess yesterday counts as an anniversary too (time difference is a funny thing), and in a way also the day before that... it's complicated.
Anyway, point is, we've been what might be considered a couple for two years now. Out of many to come.
And in less than a month, we'll be together again.

Some news
Posted Jun 15, 2007
Briefly, because it turned late all of a sudden... where does time go?
So, first of all, I had a nice little First Degree Graduation Ceremony Thing a couple of weeks ago. I have pictures on Fotki, but won't link to them because my account is currently blocked. I'll make sure and pay them sometime soon, and then I'll post a link.
I guess I could just find a good free photo-hosting site, but I don't feel like dealing with that hassle right now. Besides, I'm kind of a person of habit; I got used to Fotki.
The other bit of news is that I'll be off to the US again this summer.
But to the other coast; Dan has gone to work at the summer camp that I've worked at some years ago, and I'll visit him there for a bit, and then we'll do some travelling after camp is over. Should be fun. And Dan seems to be having a great time at camp (currently still in orientation), so I'm happy about that.
Do check out his brilliant report of the cross-country train trip he did on the way to camp: F129157?thread=4209858&latest=1#p49638534
I'll update this thread as things progress.
For now, good night!

Yeah, that's me.
I still don't take my poetry seriously enough to do much about it, but I guess this is a good start.
Feels nice, anyway.

The Bachelorette
Posted Mar 2, 2007
You might remember my excited journal entry, some time ago, about finishing my Donne paper, and thus my BA obligations.
Well, this last Tuesday I got the grade for it (as befitting a paper that was turned in at the last moment - and as befitting this professor, really - the grade was given about a day before the last possible date).
100.
YIIPPPEEEEE!!!
So with this, my degree could finally be closed, with a 90.1 average (that's just 3 or 4 points below honours - which I'd have had if it weren't for some not-so-good grades in my second year).
I'm terribly proud of myself, tell ya what.
The actual ceremony-thing isn't till June, but still, officially I have a BA.
On with the MA, now...

Off he goes

On a very long way: F129157?thread=3837446
(That's a ferry, a bus, three planes, a car ride, and about 35 or so hours total )
And then we'll be together, another lungful of air before we go back down for months, once again.
Until someday, it'll be the final time.
...
So in other words, I won't be getting online much in the next three weeks.
I'll be busy.
Have a good three weeks, everyone - I know I will!
