I read in your space that you lived in Thailand for 2 years. Sounds great but I do really need your help and opinion on it. Me and OwlofDoom would like to book our honeymoon destination and we were thinking of going to either Bali or Thailand. We heard that both places are nice but still don't know much about them.
Would you be able to tell me more about Thailand such as places that are really nice to visit, the climate there during the month of September(that's the month we are going), any cities or resorts we should avoid as either they are too touristy or just not nice, sights to see etc.
Any information will be helpful

Hello Nitina!
Sorry about the late reply - have you booked something already? If not, what sort of holidays so you like to do - beach, trekking, sightseeing?

Apology accepted
We haven't booked the holiday yet, that's how undecisive we or more *I* have been. It's the first time we are going to the Far East and would like it to be the right decision.
If we go to Thailand, we would like to spend a couple of days in Bangkok and then a beach resort for about 2 weeks. We like somewhere with nice beaches (such as Koh Samui) but we are not the type to spend everyday on the beach. We also like looking around sights and culture. Basically it would be great if we could have the beach and the *other* things to do such as trekking, visiting tribes, markets, scenic beauty, temples to see etc. I mean get to know more the traditional life of Thailand and if that means combining Koh Samui with somewhere else in Thailand, then let it be but we have to consider the price of combining and how long to stay in each place.
What do you think? Any ideas?
Nitina
