Hi, we've never met but I've been bugging Peta for a while so Bruce suggested I come and talk to you.
I've just invented "The Chocoloate Teapot Award" for really useless people and I wondered if you'd like to give it a plug.
It's at http://www.h2g2.com/A184637
If nothing else it's good therapy.
PS A belated welcome. Actually you got here about the same time I did.

Thank you to the man who *certainly* can...!
Best to come and bug me actually. Anna is sitting next to me trying to be really focused on getting those acceptances rolling out.
I love it when people come and tell me about any interesting things that are happening in the threads, so thank you very much for the pointer.
Has anyone else got any other interesting places I can link to?

Lydia the tattooed lady did a good entry on the Yap Institute of something or other.
And I need a lot of input for my scuba entry, plus the chocolate teapot award of course.
It's all linked from my home page, as is the Komodo Dragon entry you never congratulated me on.
If I go to Cuba can I have a press card?
Which reminds me - why don't you sell "business cards" for researchers? They would be a marvellous way to spread the word.
All you'd need would be a standard H2G2 logo (with "Don't Panic" on the back) and the words "official researcher" and then overprint them with the name and URL of the researcher in question.

*Smiles in a slightly embarrassed, self depreciating sort of way*
Well, it was nothing really.
But since you liked it so much why don't you approve it?
I know you're online, I looked.

I would. But then I'm behind you in the queue.
I second the motion.

Peta... we've been searching for you forever on your own forum: sub-editors...
Where have you been? We were just about to nominate Fenchurch to take over your job.
