Rituals can be ridiculous can't they and organised religion ugh. If I was ever to go back to being a Christian which I think unlikely I'd use that quote about "whenever two or three are gathered in my name" quite a lot

Sorry, sweetheart, only just seen this.
The best Xnity I came across was within the Quakers, especially in the meeting I was elder of, where most people took the POV that they weren't particularly Xn.
ven there, I was unwilling to be the token Quaker on the interfaith group if it meant having to attend Church from time to time again.

Quakers always seemed decent people
Knew a few from my CND days and they didn't ignore major parts of their religion when they made life difficult for them

Quakers are basically relgious anarchists, LOL! Independent minded people, for the most part, whose faith began in quiet rebellion against a superior force, and whose ethics continued on that basis. As you say, good people, for whom I have a lot of time.
