I have been a member for quite a while now. I play-no, blow the cornet(small trumpet). How long have you played the piano for?

Nice meeting you. So you're a sporty type as well as a musician. I've been playing the piano for several decades now and still take lessons to widen my repertoire in classical music. I also play a bit of pop and have composed light, fun pieces for myself, which I use as warm-ups before practice sessions. How about you on your cornet? Are you a member of a group/orchestra?

Yes, I play for my school windband. I also play in the Midlothian (Scotland) Youth Brass band. At the moment we are working on gladiator for the school band.

Sorry for not replying earlier...was out of town. Is your youth band a marching band? I've seen some American school/college bands on TV and have been impressed by their display of tremendous co-ordination. What sort of work is Gladiators?

No, our school band does not march. I don't think many Scottish schools bands march. Gladiator is a very rythmic tune. It originates from Gladiator movie.
