(The family is looking for a little dog to bring home.)
I am seriously on the hunt ... for guys. I've noticed that i tend to to fall more for the all-american frat-boy type, like that dude who sat next to me in class last week. He was all blue eyes and wide smile and very distracting. And I also like the urban hipster anti-hero types who wear tight jeans and hoodies and earings and have crazy hair cuts. These are the ones I tend to follow/stalk at concerts, stores, and on the streets.
There's this one guy, A, who is in two of my classes and we have so much in common we should be best buds- but we're not. He's skinny, like seven feet tall, and is kinda shy. It turns out that we live in the same dorm, have siblings in the same highschool that hang out together, have the same taste in music, and we're both djs at the radio station. what the hey? I run into him in lots of places; dorm, a concert,on campus, in class...
He reminds so much of my brother, it's kinda freaky.

It's like coming home
Posted May 18, 2006
I like this site. I return after several months to resume my journal. No one is on xanga.com anymore and the diaries on myspace.com are too scrutinized.
Here are a few details to catch you up:
I went through a small makeover so that now I wear contact lenses and a little more makeup. But don't worry, I am still a nerd.
I've gone to lots of concerts including the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, The Sounds, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, and a lot of local college bands. I went to a couple parties at JK's house, and there was a dance that me and the girls went to.
Otherwise, I've hunkered down in my dorm room watching rented movies from the coolest video strore ever, Odd Obsession Movies of Chicago. I've seen classics such as "Psycho" as well as documentaries about obscure movie makers like Ed Wood and John Waters. I also went through a phase where I obsessed over famous historical circus freaks.
Most recently, I got promoted from dj to assistant music director at my college radio station. I start next school year and I am psyched.
The stories will resume shortly...

Another year, another trip to Chinatown
Posted Oct 2, 2005
This Saturday I went with the family to the famous Joy Yee's restaurant. This begins year three on H2G2. Interesting.
I'm having fun hanging out with JK and my folks, but I don't feel fully intergrated on campus. I want to find my group! I don't see SH as much as I would like, and RF lives many miles away. My roommates are cool, but I'm not best friends with them. Hmmm... I keep asking commuter students like RF how it is to live at home because I think I'm not going to live on campus next year.

Radio DePaul: the Digital Demon
Posted Sep 28, 2005
Oh yeah, I'm on the internet radio station. I'm on live and in charge Wednesday mornings at 2 am Eastern time. The site is at http://radio.depaul.edu if you want to check it out. Today was my first day. It was touch and go for a while because I kept doing something that made the computer screen in front of me go blank and made all the music stop. Still, I think I did pretty well. I just hope that I didn't forget to turn my mic on at some point.
Everyone at DePaul is getting a cold, including me. I, the perfect student, didn't go to German class because of a mixture of sickiness and lack of sleep. I'm supposed to be doing homework to make up for this but I haven't posted in a long time.
RF and I partnered up for this math project we're doing, I'm not gaga over him, but every now and then he says something sweet and it reminds me of D. I'm completely over the drama of SF and I've started talking to him again since last Thursday.
College is not fun if you are sick.

RF and Franz Ferdinand
Posted Sep 20, 2005
If JK is not inviting me to the Franz Ferdinand concert I will be very dissapointed...
I like RF so much! Tomorrow I am definitely hanging out with him before class. This morning I passed right by a certain person to sit next to RF. Today he and I bonded by recounting the Chicago-Detroit football game (go bears!), and I found out that he commutes from the suburbs. At least we have to classes together, so... I don't know. I'm just having fun getting to know the guy.
P.S. Yeah, I don't think I'm going to the concert tonight.
