New's years resolutions

Well seeing as it is that time again i thought i would look back at last year's resolutions and then depending on how hideously i have failed maybe make some more.

Ok so last year i said:

1, I will learn to drive and buy myself a car.
2, i will get my full motorbike liscense.
3, i will buy more shiny toys including an I-pod.
4, i will get out more and not turn into a hermit.
5, i will find the mythical someone.
6, i will not bitch at the end of the year when i have failed to complete any of the above.

so how did i get on i hear you ask (someone, anyone oh what the hell i'll tell you anyway)

1, abandoned due to a lack of funds and also the only reason i could come up with to get a car was to drive around with my stereo on far too loud smiley - rofl
2, on hold till spring due to lack of funds and our old friend apathy!
3, Wooh! sucess, i have the i-pod, shiny new digital camera and ridiculous over the top smartphone (the sucess in this area may explain some of the problems with 1 and 2!)
4, pretty sucessfull on this front as i have got involved in a few things and have as a consequence spent far less of the last year sober than previously.
5, hmm well i am seeing a lovely young lady at the mo although i don't think she is the mythical someone (thast said given my past history i am not entirely convinved that *someone* even exists). ah well call it a partial sucess then.
6. well no moaning so chalk that up as a sucess.

A 50% sucess rate not bad at all! on to this year.

1, i will get my full motorbike license (important as it will make my insurance cheaper plus there is a good chance i will come into the posession of a very nice and very big bike by the end of the year.)
2, i will find a job that pays a decent sum of money (in order to fund my jet set lifestyle smiley - weird well okay then at least to give me a bit of brass in my pocket!)
3, i will buy a new mountain bike in an attempt to get fit and also to incur disfiguring scars that will give me something to talk about at parties.
4, i will not give up smoking despite the fact that people continue to moan (and of course the accosiated health issues.)
5, as before i will not bitch if i fail to achieve any of the above.

Stuff happens

So anyway been an extremely odd few weeks in no uncertain terms, a few weeks ago i met an extremely lovely young lady and in a shock change of form for me actaully asked her out rather than just mumbling and staring at my feet as per usual. In a further shocking change from the usual she said yes! (i am thoroughly expecting a rain of fish any time in the near future!)

I have also recently been persuaded to try and take up stand up comedy, i tried to fob this off by claiming i was only funny whilst in the pub and could never remeber anything when i had a pen to make noted, unfortunsately may friends thought about this and bought me a digital voice recorder for my birthday and are forcing me to carry it with me at all times. Oh dear this means i am now in danger in making a larger than usual fool of myself, by doing stand up.

Bah it may well be time to emigrate!

Back from outerspace.

Well after what must be the longest unintentional absence i'm back! (don't everyone cheer at once ) due to an unpleasant combination of work, exploding computers and a house move i have been sans net connection up until recently (and not hiding from people following too much badger in butlins honest!)

So what's been happening during the last few months then i here you ask (anyone...someone, oh b*gger! well i'm going to tell you anyway, like it or not )

I've been off to Le Mans for the le mans 24 hours (and discovered an interest in motorsports (Vroom, Vroom etc!)

I've moved my job and am now working in sunny Halifax (Same s*hit different location)

and finally i have moved from wonderful Wakefield to ever so exciting Bradford

and there is robably some other stuff all of which is far to dull to tell you
