It's all very new and obviously unfinished so I guess it'll take time. Reviewed LBM's "Killer" story which I actually thought was very good. But didn't like his poetry. He says he's off to check my work now. Should be interesting!

I liked his style of writing but as I said before, I found the story lucked purpose conflict etc it seemed to me more like a report on a killing of an unknown woman for unknown reason. It was linear and I want a story that's circular.

yes I got your reply on MW it looks good but in essence it seems very much like Wd when you get into it. Early days though

Anyhow, no, I gather what you mean about lack of purpose, but because this was a contract killing, it's more an insight into the mind of a character who would do this for a living. I think in this way it came across well. Wonder if he ever gets it sold, eh? That's if he tries.

Think I'd better get on with writing some more stuff myself now. I used a lot of your ideas regarding "the oak" though I haven't edited again on here. I've also got loads waiting to be sent off - the latest (non-fiction) is Six of One which I thought might do for a true life experience - mainstream womens magazines, you know the sort.

Yes Carrie and try we must. BTW I had another look at your Oak (revised) did not see any changes but as I said it's a very good story with emotion and all the ingrediends for a women's mag. I think that you should look at it again and then send it off. You can only learn from the editors.

"Six of One" is in my portfolio. I could re-post "the oak." Only minor changes made. But shall do so if it won't prove too tedious for everyone!
