Thanks for that Mel, its printed off and now adorning the office wall with specific intentiono of annoying the gullible..
Hello
E G Mel Posted Nov 27, 2003
Do you have many gullible people at work? I thought it was only 16yr olds that were really into all that stuff
Mel

Well I hate to say it, but it is mainly the ladies who tend to read it. They say it is just for fun, but then tend to believe every word it says..
Mind you some of the blokes behave like 16 year olds too, but in other more ridiculous ways. (ie chasing girls when they should know better!! )

I work with some great guys, they act like children sometimes but it's more in a kind of fun and game type way.
I'm not suprised it's the women that read them. For some obscure reason the female of the species seems to spend a large proportion of her teenage life with her nose stuck in magazines which promote all this rubbish. I have to admit I was one of them but thankfuly I grew out of it when I sat down and thought about the logistics of the claims!

Well, what else do you expect from us males? My Mrs says the day I grow up is the day she knows something is wrong with me
I am desperatley trying to keep my daughter away from "teen" magazines and she is only 10, although going on 19! So far I've done alright but its got to happen one day I know that..
Liverpool 1 Bucharest 0 YESSS !!!! !

Your daughter will read them even if you do try and keep her away from her, they end up in school and they sit on the field or in the playground reading them. (Though this is more secondary school) I wouldn't worry about it most of us turn out ok despite the magazines
Don't really have much of an opinion there!

I know she'll get hold of them, just trying to delay the inevitable really. Not much going on around here to report really, apart from going out with my old work mates for theri xmas drinkies (early one) tomorrow night, when I will no doubt have too much falling down juice, and discover that gravity does work.
Hello
E G Mel Posted Nov 28, 2003
Well if I do get round to fixing my bike puncture I shall go out tonight and I have just been invited to the cinema tomorrow by one of my work mates so all in all my weekend is getting filled up before it's even started
I was intending to have a nice relaxing weekend but then that's what I usually intend!
I think I shall try and keep Sunday for myself though as I would really like to have a nice hot bath
Mel

Thats what I need, a nice long soak in the bath. Almost forgotten how relaxing it can be going all wrinkly and reading a book in the bath..

Well I mended my Bike, went out for the friday eve (and got back about 4 in the morning ), saw Kill Bill on Saturday (If you like Tarentino it's great) and then relaxed with a nice long bath on Sunday then watched Snatch to remind me what a good English film should be like!
How was your weekend?
Mel
Hello
Spike Posted Dec 1, 2003
you dirty stop out.. 4am?? i'd turn iin to a pumpkin or something equally vegetable like if i was out until that hour! Not seen Kill Bill yet, must get round to it.
My weekend?? Well seeing as you asked here goes!!
Hmmm let me see it was pretty really. Was supposed to be going to a "do" Saturday but Mrs S got sick early hours Sat morning and spent weekend in bed with temperature high and bowl by bedside, then just as I am about to pack daughter off to mother in laws (Mrs told me to go to do on my own) little 'un is sick everyhwere too!! So I packed her off to bed in stead and stayed in to look after them both! The Sunday I came down with it too. Mind you I made sure I was in bed by 7pm lst night and I was fine after a 12 hour sleep. Daughter is back to school today too, so it must jsut be one of those "24 hour" bug things.
So didnt see or do much at all really,. and back at work today.. even more .
Right, stuff over with, get back to the here and now. I am feeling 100& better and will catch up on footie i recorded over the weekend (sad isnt it?)
take care Mel, have a good week.
Hello

Ug, what a nightmare, a 24hr Bug over the weekend. Everyone here seems to be going down with flu so I'm hoping to avoid it!
Yes it is slightly sad that you recorded the Footie, but you never know, if I had a video recorder or a telly of my own I might do it for F1
