A Lilting, Threatened Sky

Another dawn; closely scattered streaky clouds lit gold and crimson from underneath. A looming grey blanket, dirty yellow lining, gobbling up the beauty.
Scuttle back indoors - do your homework, Rod

Dew, spider webs, sunlight and shadow.

I was quietly contemplating the next stage in veggie garden develpoment, soon after dawn. The apple and pear trees had dew-bespangled spider webs strung between them and their cordon/espalier wires when the sun slanted through the trees and caught them almost edge-on.
One of the webs was partly in shadow from a thin branch, slowly appearing and disappearing as the not even half-a-zephyr moved it.
A magic moment.
Then that smiley - bleep dog across the road barked and the day began.

Penalties for living

Recently back from a holiday, the first clear couple of weeks for some time, allowing a bit of background catching up.

I've been aware for a few years that clarity of thought is fading, memory failing, vocabulary shrinking... age, of course.

However, Miz Stress informed me that when I had that attack of shingles, 'something happened' and I've not been the same since. Upper left face, it was and full sensation hasn't returned to the eyebrow area.

It's a bugger, I tell you.

Tackling a Tricky Task

Triggered by an entry that's currently in Peer Review:
Tensegrity - And How To Use It To Make A Thing That Goes 'Boink'
by Malabarista

It's all in your head but, as your head bone is connected to your neck one and thence (directly or otherwise) to sundry southern situations and is dependent on various of them for support, sustenance, glancing askance and page turning, then you owe it to your task to arrange those things appropriately:

Feet:
Flat. On the floor.

Knees:
If you're standing, slightly bent. Sitting, more so.
Unless you're lying, in which case, watch it. You've been found out.

Hips:
If you're standing, bent slightly forward. Sitting, more so.
Unless you're lying, in which case see knees, above.

Back:
Upright (unless you're lying...)
Near straight. Arched rather than bent.

Neck:
Angled sustainably, usually slanted slightly forward. Not stiff.

Arms:
The author cannot be held responsible for misuse of the instructions pertaining (which are therefore hereby withheld). You should assign these assets according to purpose.

Hands, including Fingers:
Generally, see Arms, above.
You should make specific arrangements for specific purposes, such as sharpening pencils, slicing gherkins or shaving.

Head:

. Scalp, normal

. Eyebrows, raised, lowered or normal. Both together or one at a time.

. Ears, wigged or ggled or normal – experiment with these.

. Nose, pinched, flared or normal. Not turned up.

. Mouth. Now, this is the crucial body part.
Except to warn you against putting any part of your tongue past your teeth (just in case of immediate success), I shall not presume to tell you how to hold your mouth. But, please do.

You're now ready to commence so go and fetch the materials for your task and start from the top. On this and subsequent iterations, you may omit reading the title.

You're now ready to commence so go and fetch the tools for your task and start again - from the top, holding your mouth as you do so.
