I thought your guide to Skin Cancer was excellent. I was looking through the BBC health guide and came across your work.

I hope you are fully recovered. People think it's just sun and sun beds which contribute to skin cancer.

I hope your words have helped a lot of people.

Thank you, notsureyet.
I certainly hope the entry is helping to avert some of the worst effects on readers.

Cured? I'm not sure that's the word. Currently I'm going back to the doc every six months and am clear of 'new' instances - but there's no guarantee that things will stay that way.

It hasn't been so bad really. Perhaps it'll improve if someone wants to buy the TV & film rights.

hello RodtheBrit. I like your name - I'm looking to change mine. I'm not sure if I shouldn't be something literary.

I agree, 'cured' was the wrong choice of word.

I know someone in a similar situation. A growth on the face was left too late, and radical surgery was necessary. The reasons for not going to see the doc was because of elderly parents who needed a lot of time and attention.
The big C spread to the lymph nodes, oh heck, sorry to be Job's comforter (I so dislike people like that) but to get to the point, monthly checks at the hospital are now the norm. And that's as good as it can be.

Hopefully if we meet again I will be wearing my funny hat

Well, MrLiteraryLaddie (orMs...Lady), I'm sorry to hear about your friend / acquaintance. It's so easy to put it off - hence that entry.

I take it, as you're looking to change your name, that you've decided in favour? Welcome.

Funny hat puts me in mind of a few years ago working at a shipyard in Scotland in winter. A soft-top waterproof hat with peak & ear flaps. I took 'hat of the year' and was forthwith banned from entering again. Ever.
Well, that's my story and you're welcome to disprove it, if...

Dahl's Chickens? Mrs Jo Bangles?

Thank you for your welcome. It's Lady Notsureyet, and I'm still struggling for a name. I must have something which suits me - rather like your hat. Was it tartan or burberry ?

Dahl's Chickens ! Wonderful.

I don't see myself as Biddy, but then again....

I like your personal space. Must sort out my introduction page soon.

Hello again, notsureyet.

I see you've done ypur page...

The hat was plain navy blue, for warmth in that shipyard.

The team 'office' was assigned some time after my arrival and was a portakabin type, perched on top of another. Moving into winter, I'd been allocated a big 'lectric heater which worked well - from eight inches or so above the floor. One day I was attending to those lovely admin jobs and came to realise that my feet were numb and it was creeping up above the ankles.

Back to the flat for a hot bath (never mind abandoning the job) and shopping for thermal clothing - which I was never compensated for!

Afternoon to you Rod.

Your hat was plain and navy blue ? You've spoiled my mental image.

Yes, done the page. But yellow on white hurts the eyes. It's fun to dabble with colours and stuff, but the minimalistic look wins hands down. Does H2 do Feng Shui ?

Poor you turning into Mr Frosty. But, you were in Scotland, I bet you wore you newly bought thermals lots of times.

Thought about the old name while going round the blood bath which is Tesco on a Saturday morning. Zilch.

Well, if you really do like Dahl's Chicken then use it - there's no copyright, I think - or sensitivity on my part...

Thanks for the offer, but I've taken a leaf out of your book and gone for something short and sweet.........

I'm still messing about with the personal space. Oh ! Matron !
