G'day Ellen It goes well enough! how 'bout yourself? I wasn't aware of the new smileys, but I shall look post haste! I have seen ten minutes or so of Master and Commander and it looks like Gladiator at sea a bit. I am probably not the best judge on the ground that I don't like Crowe much as an actor! The cinematography looks brilliant though I must say! have you ever heard of a British TV searies called "Hornblower" It is full of that English Vs French maratime rivalry, heaps of action, great production values and awesome writing. Lots of "On Boat" action etc....

You don't like Russell Crowe as an actor?! My word!! He has great range -I mean he was convincing as a big powerful gladiator AND a nerdy mathematician. How many actors can pull that off?

I haven't seen Hornblower. I may see if Netflix has it - but not until after Master and Commander comes out. I don't want to burn myself out on maritime movies.

I'm been having fun. I went to a "make your own pizza" party Saturday night. The host lives in the country and has two horses in the backyard. We fed them an apple.

We're getting some early cool Fall weather. Some people love it, but I prefer warm weather! Is it Spring down there in Australia?

Yeah it's spring alright! Getting warmer by the day! I don't like Mr. Crowe for various reasons, but on screen I see Russell acting like Russell but with differing clothes on! It's just a personal thing, plus having him jammed down our throats in Oz for 25 odd years doesn't help AND he's a New Zealander not an Aussie! Now before you say "geez that's a bit racist" I don't care where he's from, but that should at least get it right! I love NZ, so I cannot understand why Crowe himself peddles the Aussie thing rather than his genuine heritage! Sound like you're out and about a bit lately eh? Pizza party eh? sound like a lark!
