I like to eat meat
Doc U Started conversation Aug 5, 2004
I considered posting the following on the "10 things I hate about meat eaters" thread, but decided I'd rather be not-humorous and not-a-complete-jerk than the opposite, which is what posting a song about loving to eat flesh on a vegetarian thread would make me.

And now, "Carnivorous Shuffle," by A Great Deal of Salmon.
Intro: Meat!
It's magically delicious!
From venison to fishes,
and chicken parmigiana -
I eat it 'cause I wanna,
With utter disregard - in fact, disdain (splank splank),
For all the dying animals in pain.
Verses: Mutton - it's maaaaade of dead stuuuff!
And if that's not enooough,
It's not very tough
to
chew -
That's what I liiike about ewe.
Beef - baked in its own bloood,
It's a cow (minus cuuud),
And it's so very good
to
eat -
That's what I liiiike about meat.
(piano solo)
Pork - the Torah forbids it,
But I just can't resist it,
No, I never have missed its
appeal
(Coincidentally) that's what I liiiiike about veal.
Chicken - those birds of a feather
Are edible whether
They're cooked using a leather
or cloth oven mitt
That's what I dig about it.
Turkey - that holiday staple!
It's rare that I'm able
To leave from the table -
my
word!
That's what I liiike about birds.
Outro: Meat!
It's ever-so-nutritious!
From venison to fishes,
and chicken parmigiana -
I eat it 'cause I wanna,
With utter disregard - in fact, disdain (wah wah wah),
For all the dying animals in pain, oh yeah -
For all those dying animals . . . in . . . pai-ye-ai-ye-ain.

If I ever find audio for this song, I'll post a link . . . assuming that's within the house rules.
