Awesome page, thanks for the drink.

I have a friend a tiny (tiny) bit like you. OK not really, he's nothing like you, he's a baptist and denies being a goth, he's more a Columbine kind of guy, really into guns and fast cars... He's not exactly the coolest of guys as you can imagine.

Anytime.

And you do know that the Columbine nuts weren't really Goth, don't you?

Yeah.
Actually there's not really anything he can be categorised as. Maybe someone who takes The Matrix too seriously...

People should not be categorised.

How do I put all those weird emoticons in stuff?

Well by the fact that you're asking I'm going to assume your fairly new to h2g2. Hopefully an ACE will be along soon to help you (although I've rather lost faith in them). But in answer to your question:

The Smileys are made by typing a word inside the two bracket thingys like so: < smiley > (without the spaces)= smiley - smiley. < hug > = smiley - hug, < cheerup > = smiley - cheerup, and so on. If you want a larger list of the different smileys you can use than just click on one and it will take you to the Smiley Information Page.

I stand corrected. An ACE /has/ dropped by. Though he seems to have forgotten to tell you about the Smileys. Doesn't matter, because I just did.

It sounds like they're pretty in your face where you are. What kind of school do you go to?

Oh, I see what you mean. Mine's public too, but they have a class called "Release Time" that technically means you have to be off school grounds during it and thus out of their jurisdiction. Technically. But on the registrations list it specifically says "(For Seminary students only.)" Seminary is the Mormon school that's across the street. So ultimately how it works out is that the majority of the student body goes to religious school for at least one period a day. It's not required though, I only go because my mom pays me to.

Yeah, that must be it.
I went to a small Catholic school when I was a kid, but it was really liberal

Somewhere between Catholic, everything else, and nothing at all.

I decided a week or to ago that I didn't even believe in heavenly beings.

It was nothing personal, I just don't feel it.
