h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

Someone is posing as me on h2g2.

This doesnt bode well for two reasons:
a) I'm on Premod
b) All my accounts are on premod

This means that one of the half dozen accounts I have from the SSO mess has been broken into and obviously still in my name has basically landed me in trouble.

Which is why I'm logging off of h2g2 till this is all sorted and I've cleared my name with the moderation team. It might take weeks or months but I'm pretty sure the mods can catch whoever logged in and mimicked me.

I'll also be sadly deleting my user name and reverting back to my U-number. If you see any postings that look like mine on all of hootoo, please click on my name bit first and see if the account is this one. It shouldn't be because I'm chaning the password on both this and the Hyborians to as many digets as the password box can take (just like I did with my hotmail secret answer when someone broke in through that, although I'm not sure anyone would go to the trouble of hacking my hotmail, finding and SSO account from back when, and then breaking in).

Its a shame that its come to this, and its pretty obvious that this is what whoever use that account wanted, but I don't have any other choice really.

If anyone needs me you should have my address, if not post yours here and I'll see it (I'll keep watching as always).

There we have it. 3 years and a bit on hootoo and I'm forced off by a combo of premod and impersonation. Kick in the teeth really although I should have seen it coming yesterday to be honest.


Anyway I'll be revamping my personal space before I go so that visitors know the score, but apart from that here I go.
