Tuesday
I meet up with Kat from Preston and we go out for the day. Now Kats quiet. Actually she's silent. The only thing we got talking about was star wars (still not seen it DAMN IT). She's seen it 3 times and told me about this one thing with like 4 lightsabres.
Was not impressed.
Was less impressed by the fantastic four which I'm currently writting an abridged version of so you dont have to spend pennies.
Its bad. Really bad. Worse then hellboy. And I hated hellboy.

Wednesday
Following instructions from the boss at the dole office, I phoned over the money weighing job. They said they'd phone back tomorrow.

Thursday
Spent the night before at the pub so wasn't exactly jumping out of bed full of sunshine. 9am they phone.
'Hi I've got your details we'll be phoning back with the interveiw time'
Was sorely tempted to head back to bed, but decided to listen to some radio comedy for a bit (BBC7 was surely a gift from Crom!). They phone back just as I head off to bed again
'Yes we've got your details, come in next wednesday'
Cool. Actually it's stupid. Its at a nice time and all, and its over the hill near dobbie so not too far away. But its the whole way its going to happen. Even if I get the Job on wednesday, I have to get my results on the Thursday, which then leaves friday. Thats the first weeks work!
Okay so lets say I start on the monday right? Thats exactly four weeks of work. Fair enough its 400 quid more then I would of had from painting solidly and dole money but still it seems insane to me.

How have I already spent this 800 pound I hear you ask?

250 Apple ipod photo 60gb
100 updating my music collection (lord of the rings have deteriorated, X&Y is MIA, Bjork)
150 Clothes shopping - I have lots of clothes, but I plan to stock up for the next three years using this money. Cue primark, for it is good and cheap
40 New great coat

I love big coats. I don't know why, they feel homely without being all untidy. I've got my army coat which was a gift from Crom (via EMA of course) that I adore, but I want a dark one. So I was chuffed to bits when I found an army surplus store selling a navy one. Fair enough its italian but meh I can live with that. Needs some tinkering.

I'm also considering buying some big black boots for no other reason then to annoy my step-mum. 'Stuff em' was her reply to the russian sub crisis last week. My response? Become a long hair black wearing teen and smile with malevolence at her inability to go anywhere with me due to my highly fashionable appearance. Mwahahaha

I'm also tempted to try dying my hair again, but after last times fiasco I'm dubious...
Might get gaz minion to do it. He's rather clever.

My painting is approaching its third renaissance. Why? Bjork. Its all about the Bjork!


I was casually watching VH1 on sunday after Dick Van Dyke (also an inspiration, after all, he is Dick Van Dyke!). The 50 must see music videos. Sledgehammer was low down so I wasn't impressed. As was tear drop by massive attack I seem to remember.

Bjork was number two but I can't remember the song. Had robots and funky stuff. Was extremely impressed although I'm more impressed by cocoon when I saw it which whilst insane was extremely well thoughtout and rather artistic.

So after obtaining more Bjork (excentric aunts, gotta love em and there weird bjork fetish) I sat down for some painting. OUCH. My painting, in some areas, is beginning to look ready for golden daemon next year. I'd be pretty happy with myself if I managed to enter next year what with Uni and everything, but having said that I reckon if I do enter I'll come away with either a finalist sticker or a little statue all of my own...
