h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

The first models have arrived from mongousse.

Whilst theres nothing wrong with them technically as such, theres some things i disapprove of as well.

The legs are fantastic. Some nice and static, others running meaning you can mix and match as you see fit. Theres plenty of armour plates meaning if you had two batches, one could be light and the other could be heavy armoured.

However heres my major gripes. Theres plenty of heads, but not enough good ones. Whilst the head is the most difficult thing to make on a model, and about half are fantastic (the punk looking head is amazing). The guns look a bit small, but then again they are nicely detailed. Theres a hand full of daggers, clubs, and weird things that look like tennies bats of the future, but not enough to have a nice scrapping mob.

Then the major problems. The torso's. Theres something about the torso's that just doesnt seem right to me. They seem top heavy, and whilst i can imagine this helping the gun being positioned, it doesnt look that good.

There gangers from mega city one(judge dredd for those unknowing, like me ten minutes ago). Being the nice man i am ive offered to send them back. I can imagine someone out there loving these, but there not my cup of tea at the moment.

Im still waiting for my Babylon 5 fleets and rulebook though with anticipation, and cant wait till christmas when i have a sneeking suspicion that the first starship troopers will come through...
