Hello, I'm RhoMuNuQ!
Welcome to h2g2 and thanks for joining! I, too, found h2g2 by following the link given in Salmon of Doubt.
I suggest that you change your name from Researcher 239363! You can do that by clicking the Preferences button, changing your nickname then clicking 'Update Details'.
As you've recently joined h2g2, you might want to take a look at the <./>DontPanic</.> Help Centre or A719840 that give hints about how to use h2g2!
If you have any questions at all, please feel free to ask me! Just click the Reply button at the bottom of this message.
Finally, if you want to see the page that another user wrote about themself, just click their name at the top of any of their postings!

Hi Von Von!
Maybe you could then change your name to 'Researcher Von Von', for example, to show that you're a researcher, and to have a more personalised name?
Thanks for saying 'Happy Birthday'.
If you've got any questions at all, just give me a shout.
RhoMuNuQ
PS, I'm glad you found my message helpful.

Quick question: are my journal entries like the entries to the guide in the original books? (you know the things that ford prefect kept writing)
Welcome to h2g2...
Rho Posted Aug 19, 2003
Journal entries are normally used by people more like an online diary! To create an entry like those that Ford made in the Guide, click the 'Contribute' button, then 'Click here to add an entry to the Guide'.
Once you've written the entry and clicked 'Add Guide Entry' to create it, you'll see it listed on your personal space, and you can reach it from there to read or edit it. If you write a very good entry that follows the Writing-Guidelines on a topic that nobody's written about before on h2g2, you might even try to get it into the Edited Guide - a collection of h2g2's official, factual entries. For more information about the Edited Guide, see <./>DontPanic-Editing</.>.

No problem at all!
It is a very big site, and very complicated to use at first, so don't hesitate to ask if you've got any questions!
Oh, I forgot to explain how to use smiley faces.
On the <./>Smileys</.> page - which you can reach by clicking on any smiley - you can see the codes that you can type into a post to insert a smiley. For example, can be inserted using < biggrin > or : - D (both without the spaces).
