I was just wandering around IMDB, and looked up "Crime Wave":

Oddly, Sam Raimi's movie didn't appear, until I searched for "Crimewave":

I notice they both came out in 1985, and the Canadian one gets a higher rating, despite Sam Raimi having the Coen brothers to back him up... I also note that John Paizs (director and star of the Canadian one) went on to direct "Kids in the Hall".

Hmmmm... the Canadian one DOES sound interesting, but the competition is with Sam Raimi, the Coen brothers and Bruce Campbell. Let's just say I'd like to see them both as a double bill, with the Canadian one on first.
