Doug; some info on the chat thingy I was discussing with you earlier...

It's called IRC, standing for Internet Relay Chat, which is a bit of a misnomer as it predates the Internet, or at least the World-Wide Web. It's a "Chat" protocol, where you type in a line of text, and when you press "Return" everybody connected to the same "Channel" sees what you typed. Pretty simple, but occasionally amusing.

The simplest way to try it out is to download a 30-day trial of mIRC from http://www.mirc.com/ - if you find you like it there are other free clients available, but mIRC is pretty simple to use.

After midnight most nights you'll find me on:

Network: Undernet
Channel: #Castlekeep

Castlekeep is run by my friends Marty and Caitlyn in California; Marty's on pretty much every night, but Cait.'s only on at weekends. I might see you there... smiley - geeksmiley - smiley

Oh, and there are a *lot* of other specialist channels, with differing levels of activity, covering everything from 3D graphics to Swedish films of the 1920s. You can have a fun time exploring, even if I'm not about. smiley - evilgrin
