Hi there. Just followed a link from my friend Wolfman's space. See you're a fellow vegetarian. I trust you managed to get signed up to HVS in the end?
Now then... books! 'The Golden Compass' by Philip Pullman... think that's 'Northern Lights' on this side of the pond. It's the only one of the trilogy I've read so far. I did enjoy hearing PP speak last year at a literary festival. If you haven't read any Diana Wynne Jones yet, I'd recommend 'Deep Secret'. Very good book, mix of fantasy and humour.

hi! yeah, that is the only book in his trilogy that i have read so far as well. i see that h2g2 didn't like your intro, or was that just you trying to be funny, big x-files fan i imagine. i like to pull things from hats and guess thinking that i'm guessing right when usually i am wrong. ah well. i'm gitty because i got my hair cut yesterday, it is shorter than it's been in years! awesome stuff. man, my hands are so tired from this stinking computer, and i haven't really done anything today! i'm so lazy. anyways, nice to meet a fellow vegetarian! how long has it been since your last meaty meal? i don't know if this has happened to you, but sometimes (at least when i started being vegetarian) the pizza people put pepperonies under the cheese and i didn't notice it! damn stuff! now i definitely make sure about things like that! so yeah, thanx for the line dropping and such, talk to you later

I've just ordered 'Lyra's Oxford', PP's latest book, and 'Darkness Visible' by Nicholas Tucker, about His Dark Materials trilogy. Lots and lots of books to read!

that sounds great! i still have to finish the book i've been on for three months now-- microserfs, but hopefully in the next three weeks i can accomplish some good reading and some good fun! have i asked you yet what your favorite book is? well, hope your books go as well as they sound like they will (wow, did that make any sense!) unless you have finished them already. i don't know if i want to write another sentence, like the one i just wrote, if that is the case! (but it seems like i don't even need to try to make no sense! it just comes in huge quantities! may as well call me christymart and i could sell it by the bushel!) anywho. i see that i may have just gone mad. ah well! it's what i do best. see ya on the flip side sally girl!
