Sea Quake Asia

We all heard the horrible news about the destructive sea quake in South East Asia.
This is far too much to cope with in my mind.
One "detail" however, did enter my heart.
The wheater-news at BBC-World always ends with the add; "Sponsored by the Maldives, the sunny side of life".
Today the add was not there,
because,
the Maldives themselves are hardly there.
Totally overwhelmed by destructive nature.
Many people will néver be found.
All is gone.
Still many survivers embrace hope to find their loved ones somewhere
deep down.
These pretty, sunny Islands near India have become desert-islands.
Physically and emotionally, like all the other places that have been struck.
The world is absurd.

I wished, that all the money that was spent in The Netherlands for fireworks at the first day of this year, had been spent to help the victims in Asia.
They live in a very realistic landscape of sheer hell.
