Yes, many tourists visit and see the standard Holland scenes, and we found out that they're our "Logo" of this country.

But we're just as modern as any other country.

Last Christmas I bought for my daughters friend (New York, 40 years old) "slippers" in the shape and colour of Dutch wooden shoes (that even farmers don't use anymore).

She told me, that "it's really comic to see him walking around on them in my apartement".

Oh Yes I also bought little wooden shoes! They are sitting pretty in my showcase along with a model of windmill! Bigger ones were bit expensive for me! We visited a fisherman’s village and stayed in a boat house in Antwerp and Roterdam!
