Maybe the lettuce is too thin and leafy.
If I was on my own I would use up the leftovers the next day, and freeze some... but it's different when you live with your parents.

I like lettuce... but I don't think I'd want to eat it on its own. Dog's have carnivore teeth and I think to properly eat lettuce you really need the molars of a herbivore for grinding. She probably finds it hard to eat. That would be my best guess. Definitely better than a tin can though

Though I've heard of dogs that'll eat other veggies. Cabbage isn't the best thing to give them though.

I agree. Cabbage is very disgusting. Its even a little much in cabbage rolls, but only if you eat too many of them. Somehow it works in cabbage rolls.

Not really. I'm not sure what other people put in theirs but ours has hamburger, rice, tomato, and sauerkraut all mixed together and then rolled in a boiled cabbage leaf.

Definitely. It's really not bad. The only problem is my Dad makes a lot and after a few days of the same meal over and over again unless you really loved it to begin with it's a bit much.

You never freeze what's left for next week so you're not living on it for days??

Arisztid Lugosi Posted Jul 6, 2008
No, that would really make a lot of sense to me but for some reason we've never done that in my house. We really should though. Maybe it's because all we have is the little freezer in the fridge and it's always full already.

NPY Posted Jul 6, 2008
Oooo those little freezers are terrible. No offense, but they really don't hold much and it doesn't keeop for as long.

Arisztid Lugosi Posted Jul 27, 2008
No offence taken. I agree. We do have one of those enormous freezers in the garage but for some reason its being used to store suitcases. I think I'll ask my Dad why we don't use it anymore. We could certainly use the room. I used to find it frustrating though because its so deep that things just get piled on top of each other and you can never find what you want.

NPY Posted Jul 28, 2008
tell me about it! We've a big chest freezre that's about waist height and you're bent douuble trying to find stuff. Unless you keep it tidy, you loose stuff so easily. But at least they hold a good bit.
*Sigh*
Arisztid Lugosi Posted Jul 28, 2008
That's exactly the kind that I have. Its huge!! I've often wondered why they make them that big. Do people really need that much disorganized freezer space?
*Sigh*
NPY Posted Jul 29, 2008
Not sure. You'd think it you fill it too much it becomes useless coz there's so much stuff you'll never find things. Perfect for hioding a body though.
