I appoligise now this is me letting of steam, read at your own risk
Why does something always have to crop up to spoile you mood when your having a good time. I half want to jump up and down singing about how wandefull everyting is but the other half of me just wants to hide in a corner crying about stuf.
The weather is lovely (ok a bit too hot for me), I'm going on holiday for the fist time in a decade in just over a week, I've been having great fun hanging out with people and I can see the light at the end of the tunnel with moving house. Yet I still have 3 exams that I'm currently feeling like I will fale, there next week and I've not finished writing summarrys of any of them yet. I'm panaking about weather I'm going to have moved in time and getting anoyed with everyting; the canteen why cant you get breakfast at a time when you might want it ie befor lectures start.
Sorry this has turned a little ranty

all too much

hands up all thoughs in sith form!
in my oppinion the british education system is making for ill students.
since age 11 when i started high school the consentration and pressur about exams has been on a constent increass from the teachers, and even in primary we had the year 2 and 6 stats which is too much for yong children; year 2 ones have now been abolished.
year 6 "theas show the high school how clever you are befor you get there" and we were led to beleve that ment a lot.
year 7 and 8 tests "theas diside what set you are put into next year, which leads to what set your in for the rest of school" well you can get moved up and down a bit dispite the reasalts of them.
year 9 sats "theas are exturnal exams, so they sowe how you compair to the rest of the country, and helps us diside what level gcse papers to put you in for"
year 10 mock gcse's "theas give us the best posible indication of how your going to do next year" and you also now have couse work to do as well which is anything from a small report to 6 essays in english, and experiments for the sicencies.
year 11 GCSE's "this is it, what you can do with your whole future depends on this" and couse work still hanging over you.
year 12 mock As levels "theas give an indecation of what your working towads" and yore As levels "theas are half your A level so what ever gread you need in the end you need to try to get this year" plus yet more couse work.
year 13 no time for mocks exams in november january and may/june all counting towads your A levels "here you go theas diside if you get in for the couse in uni of the job your trying to get" and agine couse work and you have to lurn new stuff as well there just isnt time.
the reasson for my putting all that is i'm in the middle of year 13 and i'm currently doing my A levle chem couse work; 40 hours in the labs (there is no way we've had that much) and a full wright up. i'm redoing the main part of the As chem couswork; a thousend word report on a given topic covering the points they mention with refrence to the given info and other sourses. i've got a class test in maths tomorow on work we'r still doing, but there isnt time to spred stuff out the exams are in a matter of weeks and we only started this section of the couse after the last exam (in jan).
we have done our ucas forms now but in the run up to them and ongoing was a campain by the teachers saying to get into a couse its not good anough for you to be inteligent you have to be a well rounded indervidule. if you actully listen to what that meens; it means you have to be academicly brillant, have a part time job, do key skills as an extra quolification, do extra cruicula activetys in and out of school and do stuff for charatys. does anyone have time for all that all the couse work all the exams to have a life and to actully lurn stuff and sleep.
i just feel like i'm in a constant juggling act to try to do everyting we'r supost to. does any one else feel like this or have a solution for it all? (prefrabilly not to drasticer solution)
sorry for ranting a bit but i think the educatinon system as it stands is making people like me ill, through stress.
