Hi Lorraine
Ooooooh i'll have to have a better scout round for the &
Lucky you having the weekend off...I've got to work
What line of work are you in?
Hiya BM
Beguiled Mortal - rain delivered - distance no object Posted Sep 5, 2003
aww poor you, work on a weekend! I'd hate that.
I do accounts....when I'm not disrupting the office
Do you work every weekend?
Hiya BM
~:*-Venus-*:~ Posted Sep 5, 2003
I have to work alternate weekends & every bank holiday. Its written into our contract Its a pain in the
OMG you sound like me!! I'm disruptive too...but in a nice way...
Me and my work m8 are always the first to play practical jokes n stuff!!

I couldn't work bank holidays! everyone knows that's when we get all the good weather .
Glad you manage to have a laugh at work though. What kind of job do you do?
Hiya BM
~:*-Venus-*:~ Posted Sep 5, 2003
hmmm tell me about it!
Least i get to avoid the Bank holiday traffic!
I work in a garden centre, this is our quiet time of year, so its pretty dull right now
I always was good with plant-life!!

ooohh...I love garden centres! I've spent a fortune in em, and all I've got to show for it is dandelions & clover. I tell the neighbours it's a nature garden, but they don't seem convinced!
It must be a good job to have in the summer, not so sure about winter time though - doesn't it get really cold?
Hiya BM
~:*-Venus-*:~ Posted Sep 5, 2003
..i take it you havent got green fingers then!!
I'm normally good with plants n stuff, but this summer my garden is'nt looking so great ..I did have a lawn...but its just a very large expanse of brown now
...still least i dont have to mow it!
Oh you would'nt believe the temparature in that place....in summer it can go up to (and went over) 100 degrees...in winter its like a bloody freezer
I have to wear loads of clothes...look like a mitchelin man
Have you got kids? husband etc?
Hiya BM
Beguiled Mortal - rain delivered - distance no object Posted Sep 5, 2003
Your garden centre sounds just like my office for temperature! In summer I have a huge fan on my desk & windows open. Winter time it's thermals, TWO heaters, a radiator.....and anything else I can lay my hands on.
hmm.....I think my fingers have a greenish tinge...I *can* grow stuff, but the garden I've got now is so small & gets no sun after about 11am, I don't feel like bothering much. Ever day I have off that isn't raining, I usually head off for a walk somewhere....closing my eyes as I wade through the garden to the car
I've got a teenage daughter. No husband now (maybe he's somewhere in the undergrowth ). No pets either, not now anyway. How about you?

I've got 1 daughter...and 2 grandkids!! they're 7 & nearly 4.
No husband...i know he's not in the undergrowth, he lives over the other side of town with his family
I was'nt married long only 5 years
Jeez i've had an eventfull 44 years
Was up untill May with someone, but not now

Wow, grandkids! I bet they're fun. Are they boys or girls (or both?).
I'm better with kids than babies. I can't work out what they want when they can't speak.
I managed 10 years of marriage, pretty amazing for me. I'm sorry to hear you've recently split up with somone. I was seeing someone for a while last year, and I still miss him (god I'm going soft)! I think I'll give up on it all now though, maybe learn to crochet, get a cat...you know?
I have to go soon cos my daughter wants the pc. Have a good weekend when you're not at work. Speak soon.

Hi Jen, hope you haven't worked too hard today.
I went out walking & got rained on! Still it's better than walking in weather like we had last month. I'm sitting here and can't have a because I have to pick my daughter up from a party at 11

Hi Lorraine
Nah i did'nt work too hard, in fact i hardly worked at all due to lack of buisness!

I'm just contemplating an early night...sad is'nt it for a saturday night

Rain was a bit of an undersatement- it wasn't bad while we were out (fortunately), but by early evening, monsoon wouldn't be a bad word for it , there was so much all the roads were flooding! But we can't complain, because we haven't really had any rain for ages.
I'm shattered after all the fresh air, and I'd love an early night! but I don't pick my daughter up till 11. I know if I come off the pc I'll fall asleep, so it looks like I'll be here a while yet

OMG i cant remember tha last time we had proper rain, seems like months ago
hehehe i'm glad i'm not the only one that needs an early night, think i'm getting old before my time although having said that, if there was a reason to stay up i would
I'm on a digibox I've got a pc, but dont use it nearly enough, its stuck in the back room, and i cant see the tv when i'm on it
Hiya BM
Beguiled Mortal - rain delivered - distance no object Posted Sep 6, 2003
I can see my tv from here, but I can't watch it- I go straight to sleep if i do .
Is the digibox ok to use? I've heard they can be a bit weird, but I've never used one (won't pay for sky)
Hiya BM
~:*-Venus-*:~ Posted Sep 6, 2003
The digibox is a pain sometimes . I've got cable tv, and it has an interactive service, which includes e.mail, games & info. I access this site through a link on e.mail (when it works!)
It does play up alot, bluse boxes (errors) screen freeze, (unplug & start again) and just general interactive not working!!
It has an infra-red keyboard, which is qwerty, so its easy enough to use
Anyway hun, i'm going to go offline now...dam work again tomorrow
catch up with you later, have a good evening
jen

doesn't sound much different to pcs then , my screen's always freezing! I wouldn't mind the infra red keyboard though - that would be handy.
have a good night Jen....wish I was off for some sleep
