Hi Footbacon
Just thought I'd drop by and say hello as we seem to have been bumping into each other around the Izzardisms thread! I too am a big fan of "The Izzster", but due to reduced circumstances can't see him this year.
So, how do you come by the name Footbacon?

hey reddy freddy, yeah we do seem to be bumping into eachother in there. i was surprised that the threads gone on this long!
i'm gonna see him in december, can't wait! i've never seen him before so am a bit excited about it. 'reduced circumstances' money wise?
everyone always asks me about the name! its because my last name is feetham. me and a friend always try to think of weird versions of it, i've had knee-hoof, leg-ham, then we got the dictionary out and accurately, my name is hamileal-popliteal!
i'm guessing you're called freddy and are ready?
or am i way out there?!

Yeah, currently unemployed and looking for work, so spondulicks in short supply at the moment. I went to see Eddie on the Definite Article and Glorious tours - you're gonna have so much fun in December! Only problem is, you spend so much time laughing you forget half of what he's saying - although I do remember me and my friend doing impressions of evil giraffes in the office the next day, much to the consternation of our colleagues!
The reddyfreddy thing goes back to when I first started getting on this newfangled internetty-thingy (there's technical for you!), and needed something that was memorable (to me at least)...it's actually to do with the Queen song "Crazy Little Thing Called Love".

forget food, go and see eddie, you'll become a better person for it!
i think those two are my favourite videos, but then i always change my mind when i watch them!
we once had a bee's nest at our house, so me and my brother were running around for a couple of days, just shouting "i'm covered in bee's".
we had complaints from the neighbours, but they obviously haven't been enlightened yet!
yes, alliteration combined with rhyming always makes for a memorable name (sorry, used to be an english lan student, it comes across sometimes)

I'll get to see Eddie if at all humanly possible.
Fortunately I only have to buy one ticket as my missus doesn't like him. She has a strange sense of humour - farts and talking animals have her in fits, anything funny (such as EI) leaves her stoney-faced.
There's a bit in Crazy Little Thing Called Love where Freddie Mercury (for it is he) sings "are you ready?" and the rest of the band say back "Ready, Freddie". I then had to experiment with various spellings before finding one that hadn't already been taken for my username on the system I was using then. And since then, it's just sorta stuck.

luckily most of my family like izzard, my brother didn't want anything to do with him, so i got him drunk and stuck the video on. worked like a charm.
i've got that elton song in my head now "are you ready..."

Gaaah! Know the one you mean!
Sorry, haven't been a fan of Mr. John for a long time now - his heyday was the seventies, and sadly that's when he did his best work.
Did you get the job you were after?
Can I add you to my list of friends on H2G2 (current population: 0)? Not entirely sure how this works myself, but got to start somewhere?!
