Sorry I missed this in Peer Review. I was just wondering whether you would like to explain the words Do si do (back to back, from the French dos à dos) in your footnotes.

I have always considered Do Si Do as an element of folk dancing and have never considered its entomology. From your post I suspect you have a definitive foot-note in mind. I agree with your modification of my note on 'Garryown' , and I suspect I will agree with you foot-note here.
Please let us see it

I would put in a footnote to Do-si-do saying something like
Back to back, where the dancers circle one another without turning their bodies (that is, each facing one wall throughout). The term comes from the French dos à dos. Normally couples face one another: vis à vis.
But I wouldn't ask the editors to insert that right now; it seems they are besieged by captchas in carrying out changes.
Key: Complain about this post
