Hi Bob;
sorry, I've been meaning to write to you. I have been a little distracted by my working entry, I am leaning many new things I only had a vague idea about.smiley - biggrin I am almost to the point of weeding out all my misconceptions. Even if it is not a 'Sea' Entrysmiley - erm

I dropped the Linkin account as they kept sending me invitations on my w*rk E-mail inviting me to join me on Linkin - if I was getting them so were many other unsuspecting people I didn't want to bothersmiley - shrug If you have an update on a more independent site I would like to follow.

You are making great progress on your Sea Page, I have been trying to find an entry Pinniped wrote several years ago about the wreck of a French Frigate, I don't remember if it was ever edited, but it was a good story, I think he called it 'The Raft' It may have been deletedsmiley - sadface

I also saw a bit on trying to preserve a clipper Ship in the Flea Market, I think you commented on it. I probably have a few unpopular comments, but I shall keep them to myself for now.smiley - sorry

smiley - cheers

Hi Bob;
I may have posted too soon, it was Bluebottle that posted on your behalf.
My thought was that 'you can't save a ship ship with flags and signs, only hard work and lots of money can succeed'. I hope you agreesmiley - biggrin

Should have re-checked first smiley - sorry

I do agree and I believed it was also being saved from them, leaving it to rot like that.

All those years and no action the Australians deserve that ship because they did something positive its their history too after all, and they have a greater connection than a few flag waving miseries. A large number of Australians descend from the passengers,and that is a closed link than having built the ship.

History of that kind and preservation work is for the doers not the thinkers.

smiley - ok
