Well, take your time exploring the site - but if you're interested in writing something for the guide I recommend the <./>Contribute</.> page - or maybe popping in at the PeerReview

You can actually learn quite a lot over at the Peer Review - what kind of things people are likely to comment on if you decide to put an entry up for review - or you might find something to comment on yourself

Oh - and another way to get your stuff 'published' so to speak is to write something for our weekly <./>ThePost</.> - it's not part of the 'official' guide but lots of people read it!
