I was going back reading some articles I did for <./>thepost</.> last year and it was touching to read your post to me again.
Dad has been on my mind over the past few months and having not been well myself since January I've been mulling things over a bit.
I thought I'd just pop by and say hiya as it's been 9 months or so since we last spoke.
I hope all is well with you and take care.

Oh yeah, I remember, and it's nice to hear from you again .
I have found that those thoughts of lost parents never really go away, I still think of both mine rather a lot, but they do change, and get easier to bear. They become warmer and happier moments, though I have to admit my dads loss is a bit too close to be easy to bear, as I'm sure yours is. I hope you are still talking to your new found family too ( I seem to remember a sister?) and getting on well with them.
Still, I'm here if you want a chat.

Thank you so much for getting back to me
Things aren't as clear cut now as they were last year. A falling out between us two sisters and our half-sister has given us a bit of a complication.
To know what to do for the best is difficult and I'm not sure if I can be bothered opening myself up to possible hurt yet again. I'm unsure as to how much she knows of why my mum and my father split up in the first place. She claims to know nothing, yet the stuff she comes out with makes me doubt her claim.
It's so confusing!!!!!
Would it not be easier if there were an emotional switch we could use to get rid of those who hurt us? Wouldn't that make life so much easier?
Oh, I'm sounding far too deep aren't I! I'm not usually like this. I'm usually full of absolute rubbish and gibberish! Ah well, these things are sent to try us are they not.
I hope you're still in contact with your half bother (I seem to remember there were more though). Through you perhaps I could see the best path to take...with your success perhaps I might feel I have a successful one too.
Take care and thank you ever so much for getting back to me!
VV

I am still in touch with my half brother, and we are getting along well, and though I don't speak to my sisters much (or in some cases at all) things are better with them. I've worked out that a new found family relationship is kind of like dating, you don't know the person well enough to do or say quite what you wish, so you walk around on eggshells the whole time. I'm sure something will come of your relationship, that will be for good, you will just have to work at it (which reminds me I should ring Tom!). Right now let your sister have her secrets, if you work at the relationship you will find them out.
Do you know anyone who would be interested in manufacturing an off switch for people? I have some colleagues who I could use it on

I've decided to make you my hootoo brother....you seem to have your head screwed on better than I do!

I feel priviledged! Though the head screwing is doubtful, unles you mean my head is screwed up further than yours .

have you seen the w**king thread? where folks tell of the trials of being a hard w**ker, and of course the chafeing that occurs when you do it too much

I popped in on one of your threads the other day, it was strange but your mum didn't know you had a new hootoo brother, didn't say hello son or anything, I was quite sad . Not literally of course.
Hows things this week?
