I was just coming to ask the same question Which side of London are you on Ag? Would it be difficult to get out as far as Maidenhead?
Z - it is likely you have got more people's email addresses than I have, will you put together a mailing list. I have Teuchter's address if you don't have it

I think Ag said that Ben's flat may be a bit far for her to travel to, but there are other options, Teuchter and I have both said we could host, depending on the size and composition of the group...

Oops, hit reply before I'd stopped talking.
Getting to Maidenhead would take me, ooh, the national rail website says it would take me two hours, that can't be right, no hang on, an hour and a half if I go by Reading. Hmm. Are there only slow trains between Clapham Junction and Reading? How odd. But if I traipse over to Paddington for the fdast train I use up at least half an hour on the blessed tubes. Hmm again. It seems to me utterly stupid that public transport should take me so long to get to Maidenhead - it's only Maidenhead, not Cornwall.

Oh dear I've just e mailed you and it hasn't worked. Is your hotmail account in order? Or do you have another e mail address?

I'm not sure it would take you 2 hours, I got to Sydenham in just over an hour and a half last weekend - took a bit longer to come home again when it was late though - mainly because the trains out of Paddington were less frequent. The travelcard from my station is 11.70, might be cheaper to buy a return although in off-peak times there is little difference.
Have never tried to go via Reading...oooh tell a lie, I took that route to gatwick for a flight. Seem to recall it took forever...
