i've just read your introduction, and found it hillariously funny. The thought of thousands of pairs of socks meeting up again in the great laundry basket, is food for thought. Somewhere there is a "enormous" unclaimed odd sock mountain ...

Ooh, thankyou. Hilariously funny? Little old me? I blush.
I have now lost both of my favourite stripy socks, so can only hope they are joyously reunited in a Better Place. I am planning another trip to Muji to buy more stripy socks with which to feed the insatiable washing machine demon.
*And she cheerfully skips to the kitchen to put the kettle on, whistling Mozart just because she can...*

..just a thought, i find starving my washing machine of socks, curbs it appetitie....a dieting washing machine seems to eat less (in the sock department) however mine did go through a phase of trying to eat trousers!!! ended up with machine teeth marks in a few pairs!!!

We used to have a very old-fashioned spin-dryer. Whenever I handwashed silk shirts it would carefully pull the buttons off.
it's quite novel having a conversation at this speed, isn't it?

You get used to it hun
It gets slightly wierd when you post a message..then wait 3 weeks for a reply. By which time you have to read from the beginning to re-cap on what the convo was about :o)
So how are you enjoying it here? have you got totally lost yet? I did several times, they could here my cries for help from miles away
After a while it just all falls into place

You get used to it after a while, sometimes you post a message and dont hear anything for 3 weeks. By that time you've forgotten what the convo was about so have to start from the beginning for a re-cap
So are you enjoying it here? have you got totally lost yet? I did quiet a few times, you could here my cries for help from miles away
