Hi, Alji sent me a link to your page, it,s really great!!

How do you do that??? I have been on here for several months and my page is about the most boring one that I have come accross, I just cannot master the art of making it colourful with images!!

Anyhow, just wanted to say Hi and to tell you that I liked your poems.

Hi Jane. I've only been here a month. I guess Alji sent you here as I've got an Internet T.V.box. I don't know if yours is the same. I get the pictures from the h2g2 picture library. I can't cut and paste. I copy out the GuideML from the box beside the picture, then go back to the EDIT PAGE and type it in .You have to be careful to copy it exactly. I get a lot of error messages ,but keep trying.I found the Spicing up your user page A690518 was very helpful.
If you're on phone charges like mine it can get expensive, but I can go offline when I'm typing. I press a hang-up key and the page stays on the screen.
I'm glad you like my poems. I'm going to put more here as soon as I can . Drop in any time. From Pamela.

Hi Pamela

I am a total idiot when it comes to technology!! I just use an ancient laptop that I connect to the telephone line when I want to use internet, I usually go on line at night when the kids have gone to bed, that is about the only time I have to myself in the day!!

I will try your link to try and spice up my page.

Hello Alji. I am having a lot of problems here at the mooooment.I keep getting the older pages and have to keep refreshing to get the up to date one. Is there a problem here, or is e page getting too long to cope. I've also had problems typing my entries.I'm slow ,but sometimes the words coming up on screen are a long way behind what I'm typing. If there is a problem here I hope it will be sorted out soon. From Pamela.

HI Jane. Have you had any luck with getting a picture on anywhere yet. I see you have a few pages.I've only got the one so far.As you can see from my message to Alji I've had some problems, but I don't think it's all my fault. I still get confused with the conversations. When there are a lot of names in a conversation I feel like I am interrupting, so I haven't joined in much. Best of luck with the pictures. Keep trying. Hope you are having less problems now, I still haven,t managed to make my page exciting but Alji has performed a bit of magic of his own and now all I need to know is how I can change my boring old stuff to his nice picturesque idea of how my space should be!! I really do not have time to study how to do these things, I have a quick hootoo around and a look at my emails and a conversation on msn after the kids have gone to bed at around 10ish, then I find myself Zzzzz Zzzzzz over the computer by about midnight, thinking how could I have stayed up so late when I have to be up by 7 in the morning!!!

Please step into the conversations, you should definitely not feel like you are intruding, there are a few rude people on the threads who like to ignore others, but there are also a lot of really lovely ones who will really welcome you, Azahar, Math, Fnord and of course Alji to name but a few!!

Hi Jane. I've seen what Alji has done with your page . You'll have to change your introduction now, because it's not plain anymore. Alji is magic on these boards. He has sent me a lot of help, but he gets a bit complicated for me sometimes. Do you know how to find the GuideML for pages ? A662384 will explain it better than I can. If you do it for your page,you can find out how Alji did it.
I'm like you. I plan on spending half-an -hour here,but suddenly it's two hours later, when I should be asleep.
I'm 53 years old . I live in a valley town in South Wales. The next poems I am putting on here will be about Wales and I will put a link there to a page about my home town.

Yes, Alji certainly worked a bit of magic on my page, I tried to change some of the text last night and to centre my first sentence, upon Alji,s instructions, then I totally screwed the whole thing up but fortunately I had the sense to copy the whole thing before I started, so I am back to square one!!!

My main problem is once I come on line at around 10,30pm, after putting the children to bed and doing the usual chores, my brain is not really functioning to it,s full potential, well that,s my excuse anyway, and I don,t really have the time to play around with this at all, I usually check my emails, check my hootoo and send replies, by which time I know that I must go to bed as I have to be up by 7am.

Just to tell you a bit about me, I am hmmm hmmm 43, but only admit to 39, have a 6 year old son, Hugo, and an 8 year old daughter, Lydia, we live in Puerto De La Cruz in Tenerife, my husband Peter is German, but I am actually from East Anglia, not far from Diss, I think it was Wordsworth who wrote a poem once about Diss, as that was the home town of Mary Wilson, the wife of Harold Wilson! I am full of useless information!!

We have a Welsh vicar here at our Anglican church in Puerto, I am a choir member at the church.
