Hell Jackie
for my delaying reply as I've not been in good condition since last week and I also am busy writing Japanese 'Mouring Greeting Cards' to my Japanese friends, teachers... as I'm on the mourning time(my father died this Spring). In our custom, we exchange 'New Years Cards(postcard)' which reach on the first day of the new year(1st Jan.), but when we are on mourning time, we won't send them to anyone nor receive them, so we will have to send 'Mourning greeitng' to people in advance before they post their new years cards. I hope you'll understand what I mean. Recently most people send printed mourning cards, but as the number of the people is very few, I write them by myself(calligraphy) instead
I almost finshed writing, just the address are left.
OF COURSE I'LL SEND XMAS GREETING TO MY OVERSEAS FRIENDS!!
Japanese people enjoy Christmas as well even if they(we) don't know what Christmas is LOL. So, lots of lots of people go shopping and exchange xmas gifts as well
So, as you can easily imagine, people buy 'armful' flowers with the gifts...
I think Japanese flourists are very busy at the moment like you
Well, I hope we'll keep in touch
Take Care
Have an enough rest after working
Love,
Taeko(my real name)

How lovely to hear from Taeko xxx Sorry to hear you've not been well.I do understand about the Mourning Time, I am very sorry.I too lost my Father some few years ago, such a sad loss ,so I understand just how you feel xxx I too study calligraphy and enjoy it very much, when I find time of course.I always think handwritten cards are far superior to printed one's ,don't you? We must keep in touch.Hoping this msg finds you in better health xx Love Jackie xx

Hello Jackie.
I've been mental illness(like hysteria, stress pancretits, eating disorder...) since I came back to japan. And I'm on rehabilitation period. I'm very happy to say to you that I've almosr recovered that's why I'm here and speaking with you
Of course, the loss is sad, but to tell the truth, when my grandfather died 17 years ago, such a great shock I had as he loved me very much(my father as well). But I know my father's disease(cancers) and it was his life. When he died, his face was very peaceful without any pain, so I felt very safe with his peaceful dead face. If his face looked bad with agony, I might not be able to stand. You think I'm strange, but think, if he died with peacefull releasing from the pain, I think it's better than to live longer with pain. Of course, I try not to think of him very often, otherwise I cry out
Ha, ha, ha... Such a strange person I am.
I sometimes am surprised that you(English people) know calligraphy as you don't have many chance to see/do it. So, I'm happy if you know what it is like
Keep in touch please
Love,
Taeko

Of course I will stay in touch Taeko,I so enjoy our chats. My father too died of cancer ,so I understand exactly what your saying and I don't think your feelings are odd whatsoever !!! At school (a few years ago ) I attended what we call here a private school.Every girl HAD to write calligraphy.I remember very well ,having to sit there for WEEKS,JUST learning to use the nib of the pen hahaha.I do love it now,I think I was brainwashed into liking it Taeko hahaha.Do hope we speak very soon, and send my wishes to you for a complete recovery back to perfect health ,also my love .Take Care See you soon Love Jackie xxxxxx

Hello Jackie
I wonder if you misunderstand what 'calligraphy', which I use, is like... It seems that I made a big mistake to tell you..
I mean... I was doing 'Japanese/Chinese Calligraphy' instead of western 'calligraphy'
for you to be confused. But we don't use 'nib', but use 'Fude(brush pen in English maybe)' with Chinese ink. I hope this will make sense in English and you'll understand what Japanese Calligraphy is like.
I'm not in good mood, mental condition at the moment
This mental condition makes me uneasy and makes me very lazy But don't worry, I'm okay as far as this condition is concerened. I'll take regular medications, so I'm okay
Now... I finally finished sending Japanese Mournign Greeting to my Japanese teachers,friends.. (As my father died this spring, we have to send this greeting cards to Japanese friends, teachers, colleagues so that they won't send New years card to us which usually arrive on the first day of the New Year)
And.. all I have to do is to go to some shops to buy xmas cards, gifts and write cards, send them(my foreign friends).... I can't send them in time.
It's 20.05 of the 5th. The night has come.
But it was a lovely day today , I hope it will be fine day tonight, too
Take Care & Enjoy Yourself
I think your hands will be 'red' because of your work, so please take care of your hands and keep them warm when you don't work

Hi Taeko, again my apologies to you for my huge delay in this reply.Yes I know Japanese calligraphy, more like painting I suppose is the best way to describe it,hope my description doesn't insult the fine artistry your work deserves credit for !!! I do so admire the script you use.The calligraphy I use is based upon the ancient Latin style, used by the monks, for illustration in books.Quite ornate but legible,if you know what I mean ? I was so sorry to hear your feeling under the weather still.I am sure your medication gives you some relief, and that is good, naturally,I know you must be longing for a complete return to health.Lets hope it happens very soon for you.I will say a prayer for you. Please do not be upset or offended Taeko if my replies in the next few weeks are not as prompt as they could be.....Just work !!! And Xmas !!! Please keep in touch.I will....Take Care Love to you Jackie xxxx PS I shall keep my hands warm, thankyou for your concern xxx

I think I've become better since I joined h2g2. That's why I decided to stay here unless nobody contact me lol.
I'm having quite a quiet weekend as usual
It's really peaceful to be alone at home
Maybe I told you...it's getting colder and colder in Osaka As I have an allergy for the cold air, my nose turns into red nose in winter I can't stop sneezing and sniffling especially early in the morning
I haven't sent any Christmas cards to my overseas friends yet, so I have to send them by next Tuesday , otherwise they will reach my friends after New Year
I'll have a quiet Chrismas at home alone lol
But I'll meet my friend when we have a spare time soon
Well Take Care Jackie and Keep your hands warm Don't forget putting hand cream on your hands before go to bed
Have a jolly lovely weekend
See you soon

Hello Jackie
I'm very sorry for delaying my reply.
I've been tired for weeks But I'm okay now
Things are sorted out little by litte. I mean, I finshed sending my Christmas Greetings to my overseas friends, and finshed teaching kids(2 kids) English for this year's lesson yesterday
It's a very lovely day today. There is no
But as the weather forecast it will snow on the 25th
But I'll enjoy a quiet Christmas and New Year's period
After Christmas people are busy prepareing for the New Year's Day in Japan as we celebrate the first 3 New Year's Day more than Christmas. We were used to have very quiet and nice New year's Day with family, but people go out on the New Year's Day more often than the past.
Well...
I Wish You
A VERY MERRY JOLLY LOVELY FUNNY GROOVY HAPPY CHRISTMAS
and
A WONDERFUL PEACEFUL LOVELY NEW YEAR 2004
I'm very happy that I met you here
